Luczystrap/Releases/Compatibility/FastFlags

Version × policy compatibility · checked 03 Aug 2026

Luczystrap can still write FastFlags. Roblox decides which local values the Player accepts.

The Roblox allowlist arrived before Luczystrap 1.2, 1.4 and 1.4.9. Release notes prove which controls Luczystrap shipped; they do not override the later client gate or turn IXP into an approved replacement.

Current answer: use only the 18 exact keys in Roblox’s live ClientAppSettings.json allowlist, test one at a time, and leave IXP unused. Unlisted JSON entries are ignored. Memory manipulation and cache-based alternatives have separate, stronger warnings.

01 / Current snapshot

The compatibility boundary is narrower than the editor.

A value can remain visible in Luczystrap and valid JSON while the current Player silently ignores it.

Release or current state

Presets after the allowlistVersion checkpoint

Version 1.2 shipped named presets without publishing their exact keys.

The notes introduced mesh distance, grass control, Potato, Low and Ultra presets, plus a hardware score. Roblox had already announced that only listed ClientAppSettings keys would be recognized.

Evidence supports

The controls and preset names were released on October 22, 2025.

Current reading

Audit every key inside a legacy preset. A preset name cannot prove that all its values remain recognized or effective.

03 / Dual-source timeline

The policy story and the release story must stay in order.

Later Roblox clarifications change today’s decision. They must not be rewritten as if they appeared in Luczystrap’s original release notes.

Roblox policy

Local FastFlag allowlist announced

Only explicitly listed keys in ClientAppSettings.json are recognized; other entries are ignored.

Roblox clarification

Ignored JSON is separated from other methods

Unlisted JSON entries receive no effect. Attempting to set flags another way is described as subject to consequences.

Luczystrap 1.2

Presets, mesh and grass controls ship

The release presents Potato, Low and Ultra presets after the allowlist, but does not publish their complete key inventory.

Luczystrap 1.4

IXP Editor added

IXP appears in the FastFlags section; the release also says IXP and FastFlag data are set read-only.

Luczystrap 1.4.1

IXP writes gain batch helpers and retries

The hotfix documents rename, remove and set helpers plus read-only reapplication. Technical capability is not a platform verdict.

Luczystrap 1.4.9

IXP management remains in Fastflags

The current release adds an option to let Luczystrap manage IXP and changes the warning wording.

Roblox Staff

Luczystrap IXP is named directly

Bitdancer describes using the Luczystrap IXP Editor as cache poisoning that might lead to consequences.

Roblox Staff

Memory manipulation receives the strongest label

Programs manipulating client memory are categorized as cheats and exploits with standard enforcement procedures.

Roblox Staff

GlobalBasicSettings is treated separately

Modified GlobalBasicSettings_13.xml is not described as a ban reason, though future restrictions remain possible.

Current audit

The original 18-key list still controls this page

The official post still contains 4 geometry, 13 rendering and 1 UI key; the thread’s latest contribution is dated July 28.

April 2026 direction: after a requested rendering flag was discussed, Bitdancer said it had been vetoed internally because the aim was to remove FastFlags rather than add more. Do not build a compatibility promise around expected allowlist expansion.

04 / Configuration-route matrix

The file, method and destination determine the rule.

“FastFlag” is not one universal compatibility state. Use the row matching the actual path used to change Roblox.

Configuration routeCurrent platform behaviorLuczystrap interpretationAction
Allowlisted key in ClientAppSettings.jsonEligibleThe Player may recognize the exact key and valid value. The standard editor can write it, but storage alone does not prove a visible effect.Test one key against a control, then remove it and confirm baseline.
Unlisted key in ClientAppSettings.jsonIgnoredRoblox says the Player ignores it and takes no further action for the attempted JSON override. The value may remain visible in Luczystrap or the file while doing nothing.Remove stale entries instead of stacking more flags.

05 / Four proof states

Saved is not recognized. Recognized is not effective.

FastFlag claims fail when these four checkpoints are collapsed into a single “works” badge.

01

Stored

Luczystrap or another editor writes syntactically valid JSON to the expected file.

02

Method decision

Compatibility rule: publish “works” only when the same current Player passes all four checkpoints. A green save notification proves checkpoint 01—not checkpoints 02 through 04.

06 / Current allowlist scope

Use the live registry for names—not this timeline.

This page owns version and policy chronology. The dedicated Allowlist page owns all 18 exact keys, search, category filters and copy-safe spelling.

Roblox can change the list without warning. A screenshot, preset bundle or cached article is weaker than the live official announcement.

07 / Reproducible compatibility test

Prove one key, then prove its removal.

This procedure tests current effect without turning a saved file, preset name or FPS screenshot into a universal claim.

Stop rule: do not enable IXP, an external setter, memory manipulation or a bulk flag pack to make a failed key appear effective.

08 / Version decisions

Do not downgrade to recover a retired flag.

The allowlist is enforced by the current Roblox Player, not by the age of Luczystrap. An older bootstrapper does not restore the old client rule.

New or current setup

Use 1.4.9 and standard JSON only.

Begin with the current official release, no imported bundle and one key from the live allowlist.

Legacy preset

Audit keys instead of trusting the preset name.

Potato, Low and Ultra describe historical intent. Export the JSON, compare every key with the live registry and remove ignored entries.

Preset label is not compatibility proof
IXP or bypass state

Do not carry it forward.

Leave IXP disabled, exclude its cache state from profiles and migrations, and do not replace it with memory or external setters.

10 / FAQ

Luczystrap FastFlag compatibility questions.

Do Luczystrap FastFlags still work?

Some can. Roblox currently recognizes only the 18 local keys in its official allowlist. A listed key is eligible for recognition, but its actual effect still needs a current controlled test.

Which Luczystrap FastFlags work after the Roblox allowlist?

Only exact keys on Roblox’s current list are eligible through ClientAppSettings.json. The checked list contains four geometry, thirteen rendering and one user-interface key. Use the live registry rather than a preset name.

What happened to old Luczystrap FastFlag presets?

A preset can still be displayed or written, but Roblox ignores any included key outside the current allowlist. Audit each exact key and do not assume Potato, Low or Ultra remains fully effective.

Does Luczystrap 1.4.9 bypass the FastFlag allowlist?

No. The ordinary ClientAppSettings.json editor cannot bypass the Roblox allowlist. Writing a non-listed key does not make the Player recognize it.

Is Luczystrap IXP compatible with current Roblox policy?

Do not treat it as a compatible or low-risk route. Roblox Staff specifically described using Luczystrap’s IXP Editor as cache poisoning that might lead to consequences. Leave IXP unused.

Are non-allowlisted flags bannable in ClientAppSettings.json?

Roblox’s official FAQ says unlisted JSON entries are ignored and no further action is taken for attempting to use them there. Staff separately warned that other methods of setting flags can have consequences.

Can I change the Roblox framerate cap without a FastFlag?

Roblox exposes a framerate setting in GlobalBasicSettings_13.xml and current in-game settings. Staff said modified GBS files were not a ban reason in January 2026, while noting future restrictions are possible.

Does Roblox Studio use the Player FastFlag allowlist?

No. Roblox’s official announcement says Roblox Studio FastFlags are not restricted by the local Player allowlist.

How do I test one FastFlag with Luczystrap today?

Record both versions, prove a stock baseline, choose one exact allowlisted key, restart the Player, measure one expected effect, remove the key and confirm the baseline returns.
